Type Locality: China, Sichuan, near Nan-chwan (Nanchuan), Mt. Chin-fu-san (Jingfu Shan).
Vernacular Names: Gracile Shrew Mole.
Synonyms: Uropsilus atronates (Allen 1923) ; Uropsilus nivatus (Allen 1923) .
Distribution: Sichuan and Yunnan ( China) and N Burma.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Type species of Nasillus . Formerly included in soricipes ; but see Hoffmann (1984). The shrew-like humerus was figured by Storch and Dahlmann (2000).
