Type species: Blatta fusca Thunberg, 1784 . By monotypy.
Note. The genus includes three species: A. fusca and A. munda ( Walker, 1868) from South Africa ( Beccaloni 2014), and A. brindlei sp.nov. from South India. The morphology of A. fusca , including its male genitalic structures, was described by Anisyutkin (2015).
