Additions to original description. Th.II with 4 (m1, m2, m 2i, m 2i 2) medio-medial, 5–6 (m4, m 4i, m4p, m4pi, m4pi2) medio-lateral, and 26–37 posterior mac ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 10 – 12 ). Th.III with about 45 mac and 5 (m5, m 5i, a6, a 6i, a6e) mac in Gr. III ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 10 – 12 ). Abd.II with 4 (m3, m3e, m3ea, m3ep) mac in M3 arch (sensu Chen & Christiansen 1993). Abd.IV with 7 central and 9–11 lateral mac ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 10 – 12 ).
Ecology. Most from caves.
Distribution. California.
Remarks. This species is similar to cave species S. agna and S. basidens (see Christiansen 1960 and Christiansen & Bellinger 1980), but differs from them in ungual teeth (unpaired tooth present in S. baca but absent in other two species), and dorsal chaetotaxy.
