Type locality. Mays Cave , Monroe, West Virginia, Indiana, USA.

Material examined. One slide per locality, USA: Indiana: Greene , 24.vi.1962 (# 1168) ; USA: Indiana: Clark: Indian Cave , 25.iii.1975 (# 3647). Deposited in CARC .

Additions to original description. Inner tibiotarsal chaetae coarsely ciliate ( Figs 3–4 ).

Ecology. Known only from caves.

Distribution. Indiana.

Remarks. It is similar to Sinella cavernarum ( Packard, 1888) but can be separated by an outer tooth on unguiculus, the lateral process of labial palp not reaching apex of labial papilla, and the genital plate.
