Examined material. ( YB, CNIN IB-UNAM), two females, one male, " Guyane Française, Montagne des Chevaux, 2.VIII.2011, Piège Malaise, rec. S.E.A.G. 2011"; " Guyane Française, Montagne de Kaw, Relais Patawa, VIII.1999, (Malaise trap), A.E.I. Guyane-J CERDA legs"; " Guyane Française, Montagne de Kaw, Relais Patawa, IX.1999, (Malaise trap), A.E.I. Guyane-J CERDA legs".
Comments. Our examined specimens assigned to E. areolatus have a swollen scutellum, metasoma inserted at 0.5x the maximal height of mesosoma (in lateral view and measured from the top), and distance between metasomal insertion and upper side of hind coxa foramina about 0.3x longer than hind coxa length.
