REMARKS. This is a slightly smaller Majeorona species with body length of about 38–40 mm and wing spans of about 114 mm. The infuscation on the distal apical cell veins and ambient veins of the wings rather than only bronzing of the distal wings quickly distinguishes this species from other Majeorona found in Peru.
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported previously only from Ecuador ( Metcalf 1963a).
MATERIAL EXAMINED FOR NEW RECORD. “ PERU: Iquitos / Mar. 14, 1969 / B. K. Dozier ” one male ( FSCA), one male ( AFSC); “ PERU: Iquitos / Mar. 13, 1969 / B. K. Dozier ” one female ( AFSC).
