REMARKS. This is a small species with an inflated abdomen with an obvious dorsal ridge. The posterior abdominal segments are darker than the anterior segments. The mesothorax is marked distinctly with piceous in this species. Fore wing width is about 6.5 mm.
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported previously from Brazil, Costa Rica and Panama ( Metcalf 1963c; Sanborn 2013; 2014a; 2018b).
MATERIAL EXAMINED FOR NEW RECORD. “ PERU: Iquitos, / 100 mi. N.E., / on Napo River // Mar. 18, 1969 / R.K. Dozier” one female ( FSCA), one female ( AFSC).
