REMARKS. Another of the Peruvian Carineta species with heavy infuscation in the fore wing. The infuscation pattern is unique in that it incorporates the small linear marks in the distal apical cells and wing margin of the fore wing and all the distal apical cells of the hind wing are infuscated along with a spot of infuscation on the distal portion of hind wing anal cell 2.
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported previously only from Bolivia ( Champanhet 1999).
MATERIAL EXAMINED FOR NEW RECORD. “ Chontilla , 23 km. S. / Iscozazin, Dept. / Pasco, PERU / Aug. 1–15, 1961 / coll. R. Ethridge ” one male ( LACM).
