REMARKS. This is one of the small to intermediate species with hyaline wings and mesothoracic markings. Carineta cingenda can be distinguished from C. congrua Walker, 1858b , C. matura Distant, 1892b and C. tetraspila Jacobi, 1907 by the transverse piceous fascia in the ambient fissure of the pronotum and reduced piceous markings of the mesothorax.
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported from Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Peru ( Metcalf 1963c; Sanborn 2011b; 2013; 2019b). Jacobi (1907; 1951) reported the species from Chanchamayo, Marcapata, and Pachitea in Peru. Pogue (1996) reported the species from Tambopata.
