REMARKS. This is another of the small to intermediate species with hyaline wings and mesothoracic markings. Carineta congrua can be distinguished from C. cingenda by the absence of a transverse piceous fascia in the ambient fissure of the pronotum, from C. matura by the smoothly curved costal margin and reduced piceous markings of the mesothorax in C. congrua and from C. tetraspila by the smaller body size, greater number of piceous markings on the thorax and the piceous arch on the dorsal abdomen in that species.
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported previously from Colombia and Ecuador ( Metcalf 1963c; Sanborn 2013).
