Type genus. Durangona Distant 1911: 136 View in CoL .
REMARKS. The tribe was erected for the single genus and can be distinguished based on possessing a combination of postclypial ridges with transverse grooves, the fore wing radius anterior 1 abutting the subcostal veins subcostal vein for the length of the subcostal vein, and the male timbal covers reduced to a narrow marginal ridge on the posterior of the timbal cavity ( Marshall et al. 2018). The tribe was established based on the deeply divergent lineage in the five gene tree forming a weakly supported sister clade with the Old World Platypleurini Schmidt, 1918 rather than any New World groups ( Marshall et al. 2018). The record here increases the range of the tribe to the south into NE Peru (see below).
