REMARKS. The genus was recently resurrected for the southern group of species previously assigned to Odopoea Stå 1, 1861 ( Sanborn 2019b). Edholmbergia was synonymized at the same time ( Sanborn 2019b). The species of Adusella can be distinguished from the other Peruvian cicada taxa by the lateral extensions of the pronotum and the three tarsomeres ( Sanborn 2019b).
DISTRIBUTION. Species of the genus have been recorded from Argentina, Bolivia and Peru ( Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013; 2019b; Sanborn & Heath 2014).
