Adusella signata Haupt, 1918 View in CoL
Adusella signata Haupt 1918: 84 View in CoL . (Catamarca, Argentina)
REMARKS. The species was elevated from junior synonym status by Sanborn & Heath (2014) and returned to Adusella with the resurrection of the genus ( Sanborn 2019b). Examination of additional specimens supported the separation of A. signata from A. venturii ( Sanborn 2019b) . Specimens of A. signata can be distinguished from A. venturii by the fore wing infuscation extending across ulnar cell 3 reaching the node along the nodal line, a spot of infuscation of the proximal base of cubitus anterior 1, bifurcation of cubitus anterior 1 and cubitus anterior 2 forming a right angle, cubitus anterior 1 obviously arched at its base forming an obtuse angle near base of cubitus anterior 1, light distal infuscation, lateral pronotal collar not as wide and less angulate, reduced and less elaborate prothoracic and mesothoracic markings, piceous cruciform elevation, piceous dorsal abdominal tergites, and roughly triangular female opercula in A. venturii .
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported from Argentina, Bolivia and Peru ( Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013; 2019b; Sanborn & Heath 2014).
