REMARKS. The synonymy and status of the various species was recently summarized by Sanborn (2018b) with P. invaria being shown to be the valid taxon. This is the second of the three small (body length less than 20 mm) species of Peruvian Proarna . It can be distinguished from P. dactyliophora by the infuscation along the fore wing crossveins, distal veins between apical cells, and on the ambient vein. It can be distinguished from P. strigicollis by the infuscation along the fore wing crossveins, distal veins between apical cells, and on the ambient vein in P. strigicollis .

DISTRIBUTION. The species has been recorded from the Antilles, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, French Guiana, Guyana, Honduras, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela ( Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2011a; 2013; 2014a; 2018b). The species has been reported from Pachitea, Vilcanota, and Chanchamayo in Peru ( Jacobi 1907; 1951).
