Carineta submarginata Walker 1850: 245 View in CoL . (Unknown locality)
REMARKS. This is second of two species that presents spots of infuscation in the distal apical cells of the fore wings, infuscation of the fore wing crossveins, radiating infuscation in the fore wing marginal area and infuscated marginal area of the hind wings. It can be distinguished from C. producta by the radiomedial crossvein that is angled opposite to the radial crossvein, the infuscation on the medial and mediocubital crossveins and on the ambient vein of apical cells 4–8, and the spot of infuscation in the hind wing.
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported from Paraguay and Peru ( Metcalf 1963c; Sanborn 2011b). Jacobi (1951) reported the species from Sapito.
