Carineta titschacki Jacobi, 1951 View in CoL
Carineta titschacki Jacobi 1951: 91 View in CoL . (Sachabamba 1700 m, Ocaña 2600 m, and Palco, 2620 m, Peru)
REMARKS. The third of three heavily pilose species marked with piceous with hyaline wings. The piceous abdomen quickly distinguishes C. pilosa from C. titschacki . Carineta peruviana can be distinguished by the lack of piceous markings on the mesonotum between the anterior arms of the cruciform elevation and anterior to the cruciform elevation and the linear infuscation within the apical cells of the fore wings in that species.
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported from Peru and Chile ( Metcalf 1963c). Jacobi (1951) reported the species from Sachabamba, Ocaña, and Palco.
