Vernacular Names: Maendeleo Horseshoe Bat.
Distribution: NE Tanzania.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 – not evaluated; not considered in IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001).
Discussion: adami species group. Known from only two specimens.
Kock, D., G. Csorba, and K. M. Howell. 2000 a. Rhinolophus maendeleo n. sp. from Tanzania, a horseshoe bat noteworthy for its systematics and biogeography (Mammalia, Chiroptera, Rhinolophidae). Senkenbergiana Biologica, 80: 233 - 239.
