Syntypes. Two males and four females ( NHMUK), one male ( USNM), Argentina: Bariloche , Lake Gutierrez, Puerto Blest. Chile: Lake Yuvin .
Distribution. Argentina: Río Negro Province (Bariloche, Lago Gutiérrez, Puerto Blest); Tierra del Fuego,Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur (Lago Yuvin; see note).

Remarks. Collin (1933) cited Lake Yuvin as a locality in South Chile, but this lake is located in Argentina, near the Chilean border and the species probably also occurs in Chile ( Table 1 View TABLE 1 ).
