Pediobius sp. aff. multisetis

( Fig. 3C–E View FIGURE 3 )

Diagnosis. Metasomal petiole 1.9× as long as broad, slightly longer than propodeum; head 2.3× as broad as long, frontovertex slightly (1.1×) broader than long, 0.45× as broad as head, angle of ocelli about 75˚, pedicel plus fla- gellum 0.7× as long as head breadth, pedicel dorsally about 1.6× as long as broad, propodeal carinae very weakly curved.

Material studied. ♂, Uganda, Rwenzori Mts. , nr. Kyanjuki village, wet forest, near the entrance to Rwenzori Mountains National Park, 06.III.2013 (A. Gumovsky) (deposited in SIZK) .

Comparative remarks. The only available Ugandan specimen of this species is very similar to P. multisetis , apart from the very long petiole. This specimen has been imaged and is diagnosed here to aid in separating it from P. multisetis . I refrain from formally describing this species as new until additional material is collected.

Distribution. Uganda.
