Clinispira new genus
Diagnosis. Basal shell region bulimuloid; body whorl abruptly deviating perpendicularly towards apex. Aperture deflected, with fold-like teeth in entire circumference.
Type species. C. insolita n. sp.
Gender. Feminine.
List of included taxa. Monospecific.
Etymology. The generic name is a contraction from the Latin word clino meaning bended, sloped, tumbled, with the word spira, i.e., the spire. This is an allusion to the inclination of the shell spire in relation to the body whorl ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 2 – 15 ).
