Tabanus olsufjevi Hauser, 1960 View in CoL

Tabanus olsufjevi View in CoL is a Palearctic species, recorded in Iran and Turkey. It belongs to the semiargenteus View in CoL - subgroup of bovinus View in CoL group that includes large species. Tabanus olsufjevi View in CoL is a large species ranging in length from 23 to 25.5 mm. Given its considerable size and the fact that it is rarely seen in Tabanidae View in CoL collections, it can be presumed that this species is likewise uncommon in nature ( Zeegers & Müller 2014). This species was only recorded in Iraq ( Leclercq 1966).
