It is an Afrotropical species, recorded from northern Kenya, Chad, Somalia and Sudan (Oldroyed 1954). In the Arab countries of the Middle East, the species was recorded from Oman and Saudi Arabia ( Leclercq 1986; Amoudi & Leclercq 1993; Ježek et al. 2017).
