This species was recorded from Palearctic, Afrotropical and Oriental regions ( Ježek et al. 2017). Tabanus sufis is known from Iraq ( Al-Dhafer et al. (2009), Jordan ( Al-Talafha et al. 2005), Oman ( Leclercq 2000), Palestine ( Theodor, 1965), Saudi Arabia ( Ježek et al. 2017), and the United Arab Emirates ( Ježek et al. 2017).
