Yoshinothrips pasekamui Kudo View in CoL
This Asian species has been collected on different species of Poaceae , including Sasa palmata and Arundinaria sp. in Japan, and the leaves of Phyllostachys glauca in China. More specimens were collected from bamboo plants in Yunnan Province, and some variation was observed. The females listed below have antennal segment VI completely brown, and abdominal tergites VI–IX dark brown, in contrast to the original description by Kudo (1985) of antennal segment VI yellow on basal 1/3 to 1/2, and abdominal tergites V–IX dark brown.
Specimens examined. China, Yunnan, Kunming City, Yunnan Agricultural University , 3 females and 9 males from bamboo, 12.vii.2012 (Yonghui Xie); Menglun Town , 2.vi.2018 (Yanlan Xie); Mengla County, Bubeng Village , 28.v.2018 (Yanlan Xie).
