Type locality and specimens. Californien. 1 ♂ im Hamburger Museum.

Dimensions. Truncuslänge 15mm. [17.09; 22.53]

Oldest label. Datames tuberculatus Krpln , ♂ Typus, EK 2839. Californien ( Krapelin handwriting).

Additional label. Eremognatha tuberculata (Krpl.) , 1 ♂ Typus—Californien. Roewer rv. 1931— No. 8374 ( Roewer handwriting).

Type material. Holotype ♂ (ZMH-A0000203). Right chelicerae dissected, legs missing.

Taxonomic remarks. Muma (1970: 21) confirms the type is at the ZMH. There is a supposed “ holotype ” in SMF (catalog no.6847) but this is not the type specimen but merely body parts (legs 1+2+4) on a microscope slide that belong to the holotype specimen held at ZMH.

Current systematic position. Eremobatidae , Eremobates tuberculatus ( Kraepelin 1899) .
