Chironomus daitoabeus Sasa et Suzuki, 2001b: 63 , Fig. 1 a–k. [Holotype 412: 003.] Syn. nov.

Chironomus daitoabeus , Daitoyusurika daitofegea , and Yaesecundus iriobeceus are considered to be junior synonyms of Chironomus crassiforceps (Kieffer) as they all have an ovoid gonostylus; long, parallel-sided inferior volsella; short, apically broadened anal point; and a short, slender, medially curved superior volsella ( Fig. 30 ).
