Chironomus daitoabeus View in CoL , Daitoyusurika daitofegea View in CoL , and Yaesecundus iriobeceus View in CoL are considered to be junior synonyms of Chironomus crassiforceps (Kieffer) View in CoL as they all have an ovoid gonostylus; long, parallel-sided inferior volsella; short, apically broadened anal point; and a short, slender, medially curved superior volsella ( Fig. 30 View FIGURES 27 – 31 ).
