Zavrelimyia tusimuheia (Sasa et Suzuki) View in CoL , comb. nov.
( Figs. 19–22 View FIGURES 13 – 26 )
Zavrelimyia tusimuheia (Sasa et Suzuki, 1999: 109–110, Fig. 42a–j) (as Paramerina ). [Holotype 353: 037.]
The holotype of Paramerina tusimuheia has the following characters: wing vein R3 indistinct apically, not reaching costa; spur of foretibia and outer spurs of mid and hind tibia semi-lyrate, apical tooth of inner spur of mid and hind tibia elongate; phallapodeme indistinct; mid ta4 twice as long as ta5; and tergite IX with transverse posterior row of setae ( Figs. 19–22 View FIGURES 13 – 26 ). Based on these characters P. t u s i m u h e i a is transferred to Zavrelimyia Fittkau.
Tokunaga (1937) described two species of Zavrelimyia (as Pentaneura ), viz. Z. monticola and Z. kyotoensis . The description of Z. monticola agrees with the description of Z. tusimuheia , except for the wing bands. According to Tokunaga (1937), Z. monticola has "two large pale brown clouds". In Z. tusimuheia the wing has pale clouds along the longitudinal veins. The coloration of the abdomen in Z. monticola , with tergites I–VI pale, and tergites VII–VIII brownish, is similar to Z. tusimuheia .
