A genus of only 6 species in the Palaearctic Region (cf. RඈIJගඹൾκ 2009) but many more in the New World (RඈIJගඹൾκ & Bൺඋൻൾඋ 2005). Five species are known from the E. Palaearctic area, 4 of them recorded below. The fifth species, S. grande Roháček, 2006 , is known only from the type locality in Iturup I. (Kuril archipelago) in the Far East of Russia.
