Material examined. 2♀, 1♂, Wadi Khereiza (South Sinai), 28°10'08"N, 34°19'37"E, Sweep net, 6.v.2011; 2♀, Wadi Khoshb (South Sinai), 27°51'15"N, 34°12'59"E, Sweep net, 25–17.iv.2013 (leg. Ahmed M. Soliman).

Previous records from Egypt. Bahtim (Qaluobia), Gemeiza (Giza) ( Ferrière 1935), no cited locality ( Bouček 1977a), Moshtohor (Qaluobia) ( Hekal 1986).

Distribution. Afrotropical, Nearctic, Indo-Malaya and Palaearctic.

Host records. In Egypt, it has been reared from Pectinophora gossypiella (Saunders) ( Lepidoptera : Gelechiidae ) ( Bouček 1977a; Hekal 1986, 1991).
