Diagnosis

This species can be distinguished easily from its congeners by the valva with distal two-fifths parallel sided dorsoventrally, and by the setae on the valva narrow at base, gradually widened to straight apex.

Etymology

The specific name is derived from the Latin prefix set- (= seta), and latus (= broad), referring to the broad setae in the male valva.
