Vernacular Names: Uncommon Sword-nosed Bat.
Distribution: S Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, French Guiana, W Brazil.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Data Deficient.
Discussion: aurita species group. Specimens referred to this species were previously identified as aurita , marinkellei , or fernandezi ; see Handley and Ochoa (1997) and Simmons et al. (2000).
