Hadromorphus Motschulsky, 1859 .
This genus appears in older checklists as part of Ctenicera or Ludius . Hadromorphus glaucus (Germar) is widespread in Montana with adults commonly collected in and around agricultural fields, although the larvae seem uncommon in the same habitat. This species exhibits substantial variation across the state with some specimens within the size variation of the eastern Hadromorphus inflatus (Say) ( Brown 1936c) . However, detailed comparative examination of specimens of both species that included the male genitalia confirmed that large specimens of H. glaucus were distinct from non-Montana H. inflatus specimens.
