Limonius Eschscholtz, 1829 View in CoL View at ENA .
This genus was recently restricted in scope ( Etzler 2019), with some Montana species moved to Gambrinus . We follow species concepts of Lane (1971), where they differ from those proposed by Al Dhafer (2009). In addition, we consider previous records of Limonius nitidulus Horn as Limonius consimilis Walker following Etzler (2018). This genus contains two economically important species, Limonius californicus (Mannerheim) and Limonius infuscatus Motschulsky ( Fig. 1b View Fig ). The status of Limonius canus LeConte and Limonius subauratus LeConte as economically important species in Montana is unclear and requires additional sampling data.
