Distribution: widespread in Central and South Europe, occasionally locally common (e.g. Wagner 2004).
Remarks: first records from Croatia. DNA barcoding was attempted both for Croatian and German specimens but only the German specimens yielded sequences. These group with sequences from Pericoma barbarica Vaillant, 1955 from Mallorca, separated by a pairwise distance of 8.87%. All sequences can be downloaded from GenBank, accession numbers MH592652 View Materials — MH592663 View Materials .
