TYPE LOCALITY: "Borneo" [Mainland opposite Labuan (= Brunei)] .

DISTRIBUTION: Indonesia (Borneo and Sumatra).

SYNONYMS: uniformis Robinson and Kloss, 1919.

COMMENTS: Schwarz (1947) concluded that semitorquatus was a red color morph of the dark brachyurus , see comments under brachyurus . Placed in subgenus Urva by Bechthold (1939).
