TYPE LOCALITY: "Namaqualand and the country on both sides of the Orange river" [ Namibia]; fixed by Shortridge (1942) as "Port Nolloth, Little Namaqualand."
DISTRIBUTION: Southern Africa, S Angola, and S of Zambia.
SYNONYMS: caama Smith, 1839; hodgsoni Noack, 1910 ; variegatoides Layard, 1861.
