DISTRIBUTION: N Argentinia, Belize, E Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, E Peru, Surinam, Trinidad, USA (Arizona and Texas), Uruguay, Venezuela.
STATUS: CITES - Appendix I; U.S. ESA - Endangered; IUCN - Vulnerable.
