TYPE LOCALITY: "Libyae" [ Libya].
DISTRIBUTION: Fringes of the Sahara Desert from Morocco and Egypt on the north, and from Mauretania and N Nigeria to Sudan on the south.
SYNONYMS: frenata Sundevall, 1843 ; multivittata Wagner, 1841 ; oralis Thomas and Hinton, 1920; rothschildi Thomas and Hinton, 1920 ; vaillantii Loche, 1856 .
