Genus Ischnochiton Gray, 1847

Type species. Chiton textilis Gray, 1828 , SD Gray 1847. Genus distribution and range. Widely distributed genus, especially abundant in tropical and subtropical waters, only few species inhabit boreal and antiboreal waters. Miocene-Recent.
