Ischnochiton (Lepidozona) bisculptus ; Leloup 1941: 4, fig. 3, pl. 2: fig. 1.

Lepidozona bisculpta ; Ferreira 1974: 164; Kaas & Van Belle 1980: 17; 1998: 32; Bullock & Harper 1994: 16, pls. 1C, 2E, F, 3C, 4D–F; Xu 2008: 457; Sirenko 2016a: 32, figs 4–7, 15A–C; Zhang et al. 2016: 12, fig. 11.

Type material. Lectotype ( USNM 24117 About USNM ), designated by Ferreira 0 1.03. 1983 in MS, published by Kaas & Van Belle (1987).

Type locality. Hong Kong .

Distribution. Korea, China, Qingdao, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.

Remarks. Bullock & Harper (1994) demonstrated the differences between L. bisculpta and L. coreanica (Reeve, 1847) , which are very similar to each other. We also found that L. bisculpta differs from the latter by the absence of radial ribs on the head valve and by having 6–8 longitudinal grooves in the dorsal scales (vs. 16–19 grooves in L. coreanica ).
