One ♀ syntype with labels: “Teapa, Tabasco, March. H. H. S.” [printed on white card]; “Cyrtoxiph. maclientus var. gracilis Sss. ” [handwritten on green paper]; “ Syntypus ” [printed on red paper]. Specimen set with wings roughly folded; most of both antennae, the tarsi of the left middle leg and both hind legs are lost. The variety was implicitly treated as part of the nominal species by Kirby (1906: 82) who gave Mexico as one of the type localities, and the subspecies is not mentioned in OSF. Box A 24 .
