Syntype: “SYN-TYPE // Montevideo Parnier // nigrocoerulea Kerr. Type // Kerremans. 1903-59. // NHMUK 011520896 About NHMUK ” .

Current status: Synonym of Conognatha (Pithiscus) sellovii (Klug, 1825) ( Moore & Lander, 2010) View in CoL .

Comments: A lectotype and one paralectotype were designated by Moore & Lander (2010:127) and are supposedly deposited in the British Museum Collection (NHMUK). The label data of the syntype examined matches the information cited for both the lecto-and paralectotype by Moore & Lander (2010:127), but not labelled as such.
