Oreocossus grzhimeki Yakovlev, 2011: 55 .
Type locality: Kenya, Transmara .
Type material. Holotype in ZSM, examined.
Distribution. Kenya ( Yakovlev 2011). New record for Rwanda.
Material examined: 1 ♂, Rwanda, Cyangugu, Nyakabuje, 6−7.vi.1985, leg. Kühbander ( MWM) .
Currently, 8 Cossidae species of five genera, subfamilies Cossinae and Zeuzerinae , are known for the territory of Rwanda. These are only preliminary data, on which it is difficult to analyze the fauna. Taking into account the high economic importance of Cossidae , their study on the territory of Rwanda seems promising.
