Ceratophrys View in CoL sp. (FMNH P 14402) from Catamarca, Argentina ( Marshall & Patterson 1981)
An incomplete skull of Ceratophrys was collected in Puerta de Corral Quemado Locality ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 , locality 11), province of Catamarca, Argentina, by scientists from the Field Museum of Natural History 1926 ( Marshall & Patterson 1981). This fossil was neither described nor illustrated; it only was recorded (as Ceratophrys sp.) in the list of material collected and referred to the FMNH Collection (FMNH 14402; Marshall & Patterson 1981). Unfortunately, the specimen now is lost (W.F. Simpson [Collections Manager of Fossil Vertebrates, Department of Geology, FMNH], pers. Comm.).
