Ancognatha manca LeConte, 1866 , new state record
This species occurs in Mexico (states of Chihuahua, Durango, Estado de México, Guanajuato,
Jalisco, Michoacán, Nayarit , San Luis Potos´ı , Sinaloa , Sonora , and Zacatecas ) and the southwestern USA ( Ratcliffe et al. 2013; Ratcliffe and Morón 1997). Two males and two females represent a new state record, labeled: “ MEXICO: Colima, Nevado de Colima, 2700 m snm., 9-12-VII- 1991 ” (2♂♂, 2♀♀) ( IEXA, LLDC). This is the highest elevation record for the species and a slight southwestern extension of its distribution between Jalisco and Michoacán .
