Cyclocephala alexi Ratcliffe and Delgado, 1990 , new state record

This species has been cited from Mexico (state of Chiapas) and Guatemala ( Ratcliffe et al. 2013). A female specimen represents a new state record, labeled: “ MEXICO: Oaxaca, Santa Mar´ıa Chimalapa, San Antonio, El Retén, Boca de la Monta~ na, 21-VII-2017, luz mercurial, 1480 m, E. Mora- Aguilar, A. Ram´ırez-Ponce y D. Curoe cols.” (1♀) ( EMAC). The locality is approximately 150 km west of the previous northwesternmost record .
