"Habitat in India." RCN: 5084.

Lectotype (Borssum Waalkes in Blumea 14: 72. 1966): Herb. Hermann 3: 4, No. 260 (BM-000621802) .

Current name: Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L. ( Malvaceae ).

Note: Although Fawcett & Rendle (Fl. Jamaica 5: 138. 1926) indicated material in LINN as type, they did not distinguish between sheets 875.15 and 875.16 (which are evidently not part of a single gathering so Art. 9.15 does not apply).
