Terrestrial trees. Distribution in PILA 500–2000 m, low elevation mixed forest, mixed forest in transition to low elevation forest, mixed forest in transition to cloud forest. Global distribution: Mexico, El Salvador, Panama, Ecuador, Bolivia. Records: J. A. Duke 13658 (MO), L. Acosta 2428 (INB).
