Epiphytic shrubs. Distribution in PILA 800–2100 m, mixed forest in transition to low elevation forest, mixed forest in transition to cloud forest, cloud forest, low elevation oak forest. Global distribution: Nicaragua to Colombia. Records: D. Santamaría 7017 (BM, INB, MO, PMA), F. Quesada 1685 (INB).
