Epiphytic herbs. Distribution in PILA 2100–2200 m, cloud forest, low elevation oak forest. Global distribution: Endemic to Costa Rica. Records: A.K. Monro 5491 (INB), A. Rodríguez 10791 (INB), G. Herrera 5868 (INB), G. Herrera 6128 (INB).

The above material was determined as being of a currently undescribed species by Kriebel (pers. comm.). This species will be included in the Manual de Plantas de Costa Rica (Hammel et al., in prep.).
